I want to now focus on the first of the three "Classic Doubles", I mentioned in the last post, on Page 3 of the thread. Below, are Racing Post links to the Current Declarations and latest Betting Odds for both the Irish 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas. These Races will make up both legs, of the IRISH GUINEAS DOUBLE. You will be allocated 2 picks, in each Race. You will also be allocated a "virtual" Stake of £2. You decide whether you want 4 x 50p WIN Doubles (2x2) or 4 x 25p EACH WAY Doubles (2x2). You decide. Failure to indicate which will result in your Selections being made 25p EACH WAY Doubles. Be aware though, that the Runners shown on those Racing Post links, are NOT the Final Declarations and you may well select Horses, that don't take part in their respective Races. By all means, choose your Horses now but you may want to have a few Substitutes in mind, should you select Horses that don't run. I will post up the Final Declarations for the 2,000 Guineas, at around lunchtime on Thursday or Friday and the Final Declarations for the 1,000 Guineas, at around lunchtime on Friday or Saturday.

Many thanks, Callum and Lassie   ^^^^^^^^^^^. It makes my job so much easier and more enjoyable when Entrants to these Competitions, follow the Format to a tee!!

I wished I had you guys around when I was "hosting" these Competitions at work, with £100's worth of Prize Money, involved. Even then, I got comments from some colleagues with many years experience of Bookmaking and of being Sport's Fans, like the following, "Tom, I'd like to enter but it's too complicated!!"

Pfft, that became a weary "mantra". What they were really saying was, they couldn't be bothered to take a little time to read through the Format. I found it typical of our current, "Fast Food Society". A lot of the population, want things "on a plate", a "something for nothing" and an "everything yesterday", mentality. Anyway, it "cut no ice" with me, as my 18 year old daughter (at the time) Hayley, with very limited sporting knowledge at that age, filled in my Competitions with the minimum of fuss!!

As you are probably aware, I've been spending the last few days putting together the Format for a Cricket World Cup Competition. I'm hoping a few of the "gang" on these Racing threads, will enter. Despite not being a fan of Cricket, Callum (KIRKCALDY WEATHER), has already put some entries on the Cricket World Cup Competition thread. See below:

Anyway, to return to the up and coming IRISH GUINEAS Weekend, I will post up more details of the Format, after spending a little more time on the Cricket Competition.

Regards,

Tom.  :hi:🏇

A mare of a day today for punters who are tempted - why? Too much racing so increases the temptation!

I've disciplined myself today to limit number of bets - here are my 'real' bets if anyone is interested:

2.30 Gwood   Chynna to win at 22s (bet365 best odds gteed)

Win double - Eden Rose 2.15 Hayd and Mabs Cross 4.00 Hayd

3.45 York   Marnie James to win at 16s (bet365 best odds gteed)

2.50 Hayd  Duke of Hazzard to win at 20s (bet365 best odds gteed)

Best of luck to all those having a bet or 3 today👍

So, BRISTLE BOY, JENNYJANE and Yours Truly, still have the possibility of a return, on our Doubles. JENNYJANE has a lovely "virtual" bet "running on". Wouldn't mind that in "reality"!!

I want to apologise for not being able to pay as much attention to the Competition as I would've wanted yesterday. As no doubt some of you are aware, I got caught up in putting together the Format for my Cricket World Cup Competition, updating and finalising, my Darts Premier League Competition and some updating of my Champions League Competition. Remember, of course you are all welcome to enter the Cricket World Cup Competition.

Callum (KWEATHER), has already entered a lot of his predictions, for that Competition.

Back to today's Racing, you will be allocated a "virtual" £1 Each Way on your two 1,000 Guineas selections. As Callum (K/WEATHER), pointed out to me the other day, I think I posted the wrong Racing Post link to today's 3.50 Curragh (Tattersall's Gold Cup). I still need Selections for that Race from, BRISTLE BOY, LASSIE and SUMMER SUN. See Racing Post link to the 3.50 Curragh, below.

https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/178/curragh/2019-05-26/725794

Friday, sees the start of the 2 Day, EPSOM OAKS/DERBY Meeting. I plan to include all 14 Races, spread over the 2 days. of the Meeting. But any Race with less than 6 Runners, I will ignore. You will be allocated to Picks in the OAKS, the DERBY, and the EPSOM DASH (a "helter skelter" 5 Furlong Downhill Sprint Handicap). You will also need to post up your EPSOM CLASSIC DOUBLES. Same Format as the IRISH CLASSIC DOUBLES. 2 selections in the OAKS and 2 selections in the DERBY.

See Racing Post links to the Current Declarations for those Races plus the Selection Chart, below:

EPSOM CLASSIC DOUBLE

https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2019-05-31/725259 Betting Guide posted on this page (MON.21.35).

OAKS:   SELECTION 1. -                                       SELECTION 2. -

https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/17/epsom/2019-06-01/690380 Betting Guide posted on this page (MON.21.35).

DERBY: SELECTION 1. -                                       SELECTION  2. -

Be aware that some horses have been declared to run in the OAKS, that are due to run in today's, Irish 1,000 Guineas and that some horses that ran in yesterday's Irish 2,000 Guineas, have been declared to run in the DERBY. These horses may well be Non-Runners in the EPSOM OAKS/DERBY. Selections for your EPSOM CLASSIC DOUBLES along with your Selections for Friday's Races MUST be posted on this thread by, NOON Fri.31st May.  I will post up the Racing Post links to Friday's Epsom Races, around lunchtime on Wednesday and for Saturday's Epsom Races, around lunchtime on Thursday.Thank you.

I will update the Current Standings Table, after today's Curragh Races.

Best of luck to all today, "virtually" or in reality!!

Regards,

Tom.  :hi:  🏇
