A cloudy and cold day day with persistent light rain but also simultaneous bright or sunny intervals resulting in a remarkably persistent rainbow to the east for most of the afternoon. This location was  always on the eastern edge of heavier precipitation to the west and north with the cloud breaking up almost overhead as it moved east. A W/NW gale early this afternoon, decreasing to a strong breeze by late afternoon.
