I think you've been thinking about Autumn since May Azazel...

Definitely since the beginning of June which was horrific - then July made up for it.

So the weather looks a bit pants really at least until mid-month. Not long until I can do a post-mortem summer review which currently sits at around 5-6/10.

If August carries on in this manner then I think you can drop that to a 4!

A very typical British august on show from the ECM weeklies with above average rain for the next 4-weeks. Temps warm this week but from next week the signal become weaker.

Partly sunny conditions mostly, average/ above average temps and some showers, not really bad at all at least it’s warm

Try telling that to people who have suffered flooding in the last week, and probably a load more in the next 10 days. Not bad at all i guess....

Yes and that’s the north, you don’t live in the north you live in the south east

If you’re going to put it like that try telling the people of Lerwick how hot it was last week at 38.7c while they’re we’re stuck at around 20c

I don’t think you can compare two days of heat to having your house ruined with floodwater costing you a fortune to put right and a long period of time to recover from. But anyway, we digress!

That wasn’t the point I was making but fair enough.. I was stating that where I live the outlook doesn’t look too bad, but obviously it is up north

Where is the washout Atlantic... Unless you've moved to Ireland.

The bulk of that rain is to the North... The Euro 4 and hirlam seems less severe with that rainfall. I would imagine you would be OK perhaps till late afternoon, early evening...

Euro 4 and hirlam mate.. It maybe from the mid day update. Here are the ECM and Swiss HD take on things... The Ecm looks far more full on with the rain..

It might be a washout as you say, or you could get lucky and miss the heavy showers, should know by Monday morning.

We do get the best of it, warm week and weekend to come, and even next week probably not much rain, just less warm.

A more unsettled week to come, however if you live in the SE it won’t be too bad at all. Even showers here but also plenty of warm sunshine and temperatures into the mid 20’s.

Looking very Autumnal next week and into the weekend....lovely This Summer has been not to bad at all, makes up for the misery of last years endless hot and uncomfortable weather. The countryside is responding likewise, once again a green and pleasant land we have!
