It's barely rained here in Herts for 3 weeks,It's lovely hazy warm sunshine again.Lets be honest, everyone only cares about their own area. Its been beautiful here for weeks, and I still think August will come good as well.

I think August will be a better month for widespread sunshine and thunderstorms.

although last august was ok, we havnt had a good one (away from the southeast) since 2003... they have been very poor overall.

we are long overdue for a good august.

It reached 21°C here, followed by a sudden moderate shower from the west. That was actually the first rain I've seen this month, but then I was in Margate from 1st-6th July, then central France from 6th-12th July, and it didn't rain in either place when I was there. I've certainly come back to traditional northern English weather, cool, cloudy and damp. Not moaning though, it's exactly what is says on the can.

It’s been perfectly nice this week. Today is cloudier but even so the sun has managed to come out and we now have long sunny spells and a temperature of 23C. I’m surprised by the amount of moaning on here.

This would do, trust me! A temp of 17 and on and off rain doesn't.

What happened to becoming fine, sunny and settled? Thick black cloud again this morning, hopefully we can scrape a couple of hours of sun today to make up for yesterday.

waking up to yet another grey drab cloudfest

sunny mornings are strictly not allowed anymore it seems

I dont know why people are saying its all normal , it far from normal here , a very drab summer with non descript temps, however going off the run of poor summers this last decade I suppose it is normal

The cloud all cleared up by 8pm and a clear night, typical 2010`s summers.

This looks about correct what we can expect from this HP spell.........this is Monday.

Another strange NW headline... 'But an unsettled change ahead' ? can't see that down south personally. Sunny spells today with temps a refreshing 19.5c.

Pretty rubbish weather at Heathrow for mid July. Overcast and a very underwhelming 18C.

And this is the bit that some people on this forum seem to ignore, yet they keep banging on about how ‘it’s 26c in London and sunny’. Well it wasn’t sunny in the morning, and it’s annoying.

It has underwhelming, apart from the fact that July has seen a slight improvement compared to June and late May.

It hasn’t been a bad July, to be fair. Fairly average but that’s quite warm at this time of the year. Couldn’t get much worse than a large part of June! Maybe August will be a hot one?

Yes, I think we will have a proper hot spell in August, maybe for a week. But other than that, I think this current weather is set for the rest of the summer until mid September. Which isn’t too bad, but it needs to be less cloudy. That’s my only beef with summer 19.
