Bear in mind that Tuesdays storms weren't so large in area when leaving France but after hitting Eastbourne they broadened quite a bit, to the point where a decent area of SE England got hit.

These storms already look a bit broader and should definitely have an impact over a decent area when it hits our shores.

Looking at that clump of storms im not sure if id be overly excited tonight. Unless they gain intensity over the channel, doesnt look anything out of the ordinary

What ya talking about? They are striking 100/min?

Those showery pieces, including that intense looking stormy area to the West of Caen over Northern France, do certainly seem to be moving quickly. Quite surprised. In fact, looks as though the Northern tip of that storm is about to enter the channel.

Hi everyone

Can i please please just ask if anyone thinks that the Aylesbury area will get any action overnight or are we too far west?

I really need to prep my little one who has learning difficulties.

Thank you so much for any help.

Good luck to anyone looking forward to it and chasing.

Looking at the latest lightning output, it appears this storm may be on the split, one portion is heading left, whilst the other is heading straight due N, maybe the tiniest bit of E shift in there. I think this has got London’s name on it!

Reading's nott a bad shout Sam.....I'm thinking somewhere west of London looks good

Hope so AJ! I'm tempted to get to the south coast for a swim and a good view, but I'll cut off my options if I do ..

I think you are a little west for the main action... Would certainly keep an eye on proceedings, though! I hope you and your son are doing well. I hope this helps!

Agreed, it does seem to be turning east ever so slightly.
