Quite sick and fed up with everything always being towards the SE.

I just want a good old fashioned MCS type storm. Unfortunately that doesn't look likely any time soon.

Warm, still and humid with signs of convection but not anticipating anything here this evening or tomorrow other than rain

You may be too far east of the main activity but you're going to have to wait until things become more certain as no one is completely sure where they will hit tonight.

There's something interesting about that Wolverhampton cell. Why is it the only one to have kept going?

Sure, it's not electrical right now but other cells have been and gone whilst this one keeps trundling along in a weird direction. Proper daft lad.

Meanwhile, in a land far far away from any hatch...

...skies are getting a bit more interesting around here. we've got that ex-storm still holding itself together coming in from the west. And interestingly, the clouds are developing to my east, looks like something is trying to bubble up.

We may be away from any excitement here, but we're not completely out of the game.

Now split in 2 with the new one having intesified quickly? Seems to be plodding NE, albeit very slowly. That puts it on a direct line for York.

Thanks for the cam links!

It's all about the hatch about the hatch, no purple...it's all about the hatch all about the hatch, no purple... (to quote a certain song).

As one can notice, I feel a bit upbeat about standing in the face of inclement weather, camera in one hand, glass of cider in the other...waiting...

Hi to other Hatchers!

East of the Hatch by some margin (well, 20-30 miles I guess)  - I can wait. I'm good at waiting. Been waiting since 2015....

I'm looking at the ECM tonight in the extended range and I am completely beaten with regards to anything interesting happening. We continue to eat away at valuable peak convective time whilst we the nightmare Azores HP wanting to ridge in. Had enough of that last year.

So so monotonous. I actually hate our climate right now.

I must admit I am feeling very positive this evening, the scale of storms could be much wider and many more could see them. I have work tomorrow as a lorry driver and start at 04:30, could be a really action packed start to shift.
