That warmth and humidity now popping off cell near the Hay hills, Powys/Herefordshire

Trying to figure out from the radar scans if they are forming a line and moving North or North East. Might be a drive from Macclesfield across to Chester area later if they persist.

there seems to be a line heading toward chester or just South,
Another storm possibly part of the line heading for Shrewsbury?
and the Hereford storm which seems to be a dominant strong feature gaining momentum.

Got the Netweather 5 minute radar, certainly something out to out west...

Watching the radar, it seems to change every scan from nothing to something intresting. Werid

Netweather Radar showing a small cell just about to pass over me now; west of Wrexham, going for a look outside.

Are you looking to the South, you may see a few flickers

@Mapantz How are your photographs so ludicrously bright...? It's certainly not a bad thing, but... WOW.

I refuse to accept that this will be another Kent Clipper type scenario, with the models changing all the time. I think the best thing to do is to just watch the radar and see what happens.

That big band of precipitation near Guernsey looks to be heading in a N/NNE direction, and is set to hit roughly the West and also the Midlands. I think there could be one or two surprises from this if and when it reaches here.

Its finally brightening up here somewhat too..

Pretty much agree. Not really worth ruling anything out the the moment! By the later part of tomorrow, quite a number of us may find our storm shields have completely caved in!

With the localised nature of stormy weather at times, some people are likely to miss out, while others end up having the heavens open up on them!

Seems to have suddenly become really quiet in here. (Apologies if my post caused any offence)

I was sat on the right hand side of a Palma to stansted flight earlier on, and could make out beefy tops to the N as we descended, which I presume is the instability now still affecting Scotland.

As for France, the pilot pointed out and mentioned specifically avoiding a bumpy area, which would explain our more easterly path that we took through France, so the left hand window would have no doubt been a sight to see of developing cumulonimbus. We did have a rough bit of turbulence through central France aswell.!

Theres a lot of energy up there today folks, I can tell you!

I may get out and chase later, if I’m feeling up to it. Forecasting seems to be a nightmare once again though.

Another cracking little storm here in Wrexham. Not seen much lightning but some real loud rolling claps of thunder.

Looking like a definite bust here in West Dorset. It's gone from being a warm, humid afternoon to low cloud murkiness and feeling cool. Nothing out of the norm there then.

Think it's mostly rain for us unless we get lucky with some elevated lightning

That's caught me out today.

Interesting that we've had three now. Is this a usual problem, or is it because of the current setup?
