Lots of distant sferics just started now very frequent but around 100–150 miles away.

Sferics every 3-5 seconds still, sounding closer

That’s all kicked off so quickly. must be the steeper lapse rates coming in.

Very active cumbria  cell has died off.

ESTOFEX have issued Levels 1 & 2 warnings.

A level 1 and 2 were issued across western France and southern UK mainly for severe wind gust, large hail and tornado chances, and in Ireland for spout-type tornadoes.

Leeds TAF says the same but they’re not very accurate in my experience. Personally I’ll be surprised if we get anything now, attention shifts south and east.

The latest Met text forecasts suggest that tonight’s “thundery rain” will be further west. Take this for Nw England.

The dreaded "thundery rain" term , If there is a guarantee that you won't hear thunder it is when forecasters use that term.

Could be a rotating mothership supercell, and the TV weather would (and have) refer to it as "thundery rain"!

Yeah I am exited for the Level 2. Just off the edge of it but I don't think there will be any supercells. Hoping for significant MCS Tuesday morning though!

I dont think this week will be that bad anymore, no more significant events apart from Saturday and I don't think it will be that bad. Still hoping for Saturday's 6z GFS run.

I keeping coming back to this forum hoping someone will tell me that this weeks storms will be bad.

Tonight's storms across eastern England could be bad in terms of flooding rains, frequent lightning and possibly hail. Most lightning on the eastern side of the system. I won't say "will" be bad as nothing is certain

My mate has the car fueled up, I have the camera gear, it's dark out, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it!

UKV this morning shows some potent showers moving North through Central/Northern England around mid-day.
