Certainly sounds like it's mostly elevated as mentioned earlier

That'll do me me just fine. Still get plenty of lightning and thunder from an elevated storm however they're going for torrential downpours too so happy days.

See what the night brings although not sure I'll be awake the duration.

Winds dropped and it shows precip over us but it's not raining for the time being, why do I feel like sooner or later there's going to be a sudden rumble with lots of serifs popping up on the radar lol

Edit: Now raining a bit heavy

It’s looks ... um ... not that exciting on radar

Um it never was going to until after midnight

Looks better than an hour ago behind the main band of crud.

Convection is forming to the SE and is drifting this way. Thunderstorm will start at my location in 45 minutes.

A very heavy shower has just passed over here, almost felt like a flash of lightning was imminent, although no such luck so far.

Leicester just exploded into life, cell wise.

I think the radar looks quite interesting, there seems to be masses of cloud building and rapidly pouring their contents. Such as  Leicester .. and earlier Banbury

looks like once again we will miss the storms despite being in the 60% severe storm zone. looks like they will be to the west and east of us and we in the middle of just drizzle.

happens. every. single. time

another cell rapidly appearing at Banbury, it seems to be the Southern Boundary for potential storm activity currently

I've just read on UKWW that mid level is supporting some organisation of them but moist layer may inhibit lightning. They're forecast to trundle North and intensity after midnight so not ruling anything out as they say some hail reaching surface?

It makes me chuckle that i'm getting excited over a few measly strikes up here yet i can almost guarantee there will be an absolute lightning barrage further South tomorrow

If i didn't have work on Tuesday id be blasting straight down the M1 tomorrow evening
