First sferics off west Wales now. Here we go. Got radio on and heard them on it so definitely genuine.oo

My guess tonight, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and moving north, after about midnight. Also some storm activity in the NW of England potentially pushing into West Yorkshire

Got about 3 different lightning maps on the go... hoping... waiting.... then i get a headache and think “oooooh thunder head” and then nothing happens except rain. Feeling peed off atm

 You can’t beat the old radio though for instant notification of sferics.

No lightning at all in the UK, and it isn't going tonight I'm afraid. We in Cheshire, started the day with 60% chance of severe storms, this went down to 30% and now has been cancelled.

First three strikes (per Lightning Maps), just West of Snowdonia, appeared, then disappeared. Followed by two more showing then going, then another two about a minute ago - wonder how long they stay.

I am holding off on the beer in case i have to drive,Lincolnshire looks good at the moment,but looking at the latest radar returns,there is developments to my S/SW.

There are sites which allow you to listen online - gives a spectrograph history too - can’t find the link at th moment tho :wallbash:
