Absolutely not! You've had your share so far this year and I haven't had anything since May 27th 2017.

We've only had a few rumbles this year lol, haven't had a proper decent storm since 2015 in Lincoln : (

Some cracking footage of  the storms last night, thanks to everyone for that

i am now focusing on next weeks P*******l(didn't wan't to say it ha! ha!),with the low anchoring out west/south west drawing in some increasingly warm/hot humid air from the south,it all depends how this low behaves in terns of who and what location the storms will break out if at all so it will be a fine balance but all the same the models are in some sort of agreement that warmer or even hot weather is on the cards, breakdown on the menu!,a tricky one

i have booked next week off a few weeks ago and didn't think this hot spell was on the cards looking at the models last week, how things can change but i am ready for some action next week even if i have to do a @Supacell chase lol

i will be getting things ready as though i am going to tornado ally, even if i haven't been lol.

latest weekly forecast.

Potential funnel cloud from the new cell between Lincoln and Newark. Definitely rotating cloud as it passed within a mile or so from Balderton.

Day 2 Convective Outlook

VALID 06:00 UTC Thu 20 Jun 2019 - 05:59 UTC Fri 21 Jun 2019

ISSUED 20:00 UTC Wed 19 Jun 2019

ISSUED BY: Dan

An upper trough will swing across the British Isles on Thursday, the associated cool air aloft creating relatively steep mid-level lapse rates and yielding a few hundred J/kg CAPE in repsonse to surface heating. As a result, scattered showers already affecting exposed western areas at the beginning of the forecast period will tend to develop more widely across many areas as the day progresses. An occlusion (or quasi-cold front, marking the boundary between 10-12C and 6-8C dewpoints) will drift southeastwards across England and Wales, providing one focus for scattered heavy showers.

Forecast profiles are generally capped around 600mb, despite a reasonably-sheared environment (though the best shear may be above the equilibrium levels). Deeper convection is more likely across northern Britain, especially eastern Scotland, where the greatest instability is also expected. While the odd isolated lightning strike is possible almost anywhere, it is considered most likely in northern and eastern Scotland - though even here some concerns over restricted cloud height exist (and weak shear). For now, a low-end SLGT has been issued.

What device were you using?

Just the iPhone - which is great until you need to see the radar or get on the forum during the storm and then it all goes tits up

So glad I stayed out last night tho - got me really excited for the potential next week too... nice to be able to remember the things you learned from one event and apply them to another without the annual gap between

Wanted to spend the day going through footage but ended up having to drive to the other end of London and back so just getting around to it now...

Heres a short timelapse of an acas (?) field passing over ahead of the first cell:

Got lucky - it was a very photogenic storm from where I ended up. Had the opposite luck last year where the rain band ruined it and everyone else got the storm of the summer!

As the storm really got going I managed to get this video, it was on a direct course but slid past to the left as the video ended (the rain started)

Burst mode on phones is a very handy feature to have. I have captured a few good ones in the past.

Took this on an LG G5 back in 2016:

Also on mobiles, particularly at night, I like to take 4K 60FPS video, then extract a high quality image if there's any successful lightning.
