Thanks for that link!

Reigate storm kind of deflated and gave up the ghost. Typical - just as it approached me. North of here it will suddenly revitalise itself.

Its all heading towards some of the cams here

Enjoy the show all you lucky Sussex and Kent folk!

My eyes are fixed for early next week, Monday night into Tuesday currently. This could just be a little daughter of what could be to come. I’m off to Majorca Thursday and happen to be flying back on Monday morning! Could be a very interesting flight, and our plane looks like it will be a rider on a possibly very juicy plume. Could be quite bumpy, but tail wind should help us out!

Anybody else get their hopes up but it doesn't look good for your area?

Looks like it from the Brighton webcam. Just a bit gutted it looks to be travelling just too far east. Looks like the earlier modelling was pretty spot on in largely confining activity to Sussex/Kent. Still not out of the question there could be westerly developments...just not showing its hand yet.

Still early in the night yet so wonder if more storms will brew up following from the ones going on currently

Agreed...interesting that the cells approaching are currently the most active compared to all others in the N France/Channel region.

Up to 167 strikes a minute a few moments ago. Severe storm alarms going off now. Suddenly breaking out to the west of the main cell.

My greenhouse tarpaulin is now looking rather...embarrassing. Perhaps I should have fitted lightning rods to each corner.
