This is right on course for London with a few lightning strikes popping up! It has been intensifying even over land this one!

It seems as though timings are an issue now. Shortwave slowed... The 18Z UKV now shows the main interest in the SE tomorrow morning, circa 6am and onwards.

Makes sense, I was expecting much more general destabilisation in the channel now.

Any hope for our area in your opinion?

Yeah I was thinking that the main action would have happened by now. Hopefully the strength of the thunderstorms will not be affected!

I can't see it, Luke. Mainly showery bursts of rain. I shall keep watching for the time being.

Agreed, I just wonder whether there a tiny opportunity in gap up through Brest when the shortwave will swing through but a generally think the phasing is going to be out of kilter.

Mall no idea why there are so many false Sferics returns around the CI currently when there’s absolutely nowt there...

I'm no storm expert (I'm gradually learning largely through the excellent content in this thread) but I really can't see how this event is going to happen, apart from maybe in the very SE, AROME 12z develops little or no MUCAPE at all:

They are way too far out and will not affect the UK unfortunately.
