They had a chance to root but looking at the electrical activity looks like you just got lucky with some elevated build up

ECM 12z modelling is already incorrect and has TS activity well into the channel where clearly there isn’t any. 100% Kent clipper, maybe East Sussex. Sorry.

Yeah i'm going for the Southeast however it's a developing situation and I've been proved wrong many times before lol

I'm tempted to take a ride to the south coast this evening, I'm thinking Sussex eastwards to try and catch any action later, hmmmmm

 Camber Sands. No better place!

The sunshine over France today with the added ingredient of our misty/drizzle moist mush has triggered active cells now heading NE

Storms really getting organized now over Northern France. TRAC changed from Green to Yellow to ( RED ) Up to 30 strikes a minute at the moment.

Am I the only person seeing the storms erupting in Essex/Suffolk...great indication of the potential that is available (and I’m not sure if the instability generating those storms was modelled).

UK Metar TAF's have the London airports being affected by storms from about midnight to 1am onwards for Heathrow and Gatwick, 2am for Southend and then 4am for Luton and Stansted. Nothing for the likes of East Midlands or Birmingham. Would tie in well with some of the forecasts I have seen.

New cells firing to the north west of the Caen ones, over the channel. IOW could still be in with a shout

Happy time folks! I just have to be patient here in south western France. I've got a sky full of Acas a lovely intermittent wind and it's still 29c outside.

It's my birthday tomorrow, so some after midnight fireworks would be welcome in moderation as I'm knacked fromlawn mowing and a long run with my doglet! Time to eat, not sure if I'm hungry because of the approaching storms or because I've just used up all my earlier calories.

Happy storm watching....

Impressive rainfall rates on the Suffolk coast right now. Radar suggests close to 150mm/hr. Must be a hail core I would assume. Just getting a rubbish on the edge here but can here the rumbles in the distance.

Strike rate starting to slow on the france cell for a bit.  Might pep up again, when more moisture mixes in.
