There could be a bit of snizzle on sunday but it looks very patchy and temps creeping up to 10c..don't think there will be any significant accumulations.

The GFS 12z is a snoozefest right the way through - garbage.,

EDIT : Except right at the end, looking exciting there.

I'm all for a bit of heat and fine summer weather, but I only hope we don't end up with those hot sticky nights that we get, when it comes up from the South, I still aint got over the last time!

Are we about (in 16 days' time) about to have a change?

I do hope so, as I am sick-and-tired of cold easterly winds!

Aye so am I, but April to June, it's the most common wind direction, Easterlies seem rare in July, even rarer in August, better chance Sept to Nov

The 12z parallel is very reluctant to warm up next week, it has to be dragged kicking and screaming before it does eventually warm up.

Well at least it's not a toothless easterly like this week, it's a toothless northwesterly instead

Be great though Tim, end of April snowstorm, one for the record books! I've noticed how GFS keeps flagging up this potential late arctic surge, I'm still awaiting a proper Nthly.... Would love a real potent blast, even just for 2 or 3 days.

I dont think west county storm agress with that Karl. But I still think there is some potent cold bottled up, the problem is relieving the top.... I think we gonna need plyers to relieve that top!

The GEFS 12z mean shows more of a SE'ly flow next week so becoming gradually milder..as for easter, there looks to be a slack pressure field which probably means more chance of a ridge or high pressure filling the void rather than anything particularly unsettled but confidence is currently low regarding the easter weather.

The Ecm 12z shows the bitter cold siberian air digging in bringing frequent heavy snow showers, severe drifting and penetrating persistent frosts.... I wish

And then the thaw comes..next week shows brisk SSE'ly winds and gradually becomes much milder / warmer with air sourced from southern europe with mid to potentially upper teens celsius, it looks changeable but with warm spells of sunshine likely and rapidly diminishing frist..I mean frost risk.

Anywho, on Friday all will be revealed, and two of the Universe's greatest conundrums will be finally resolved: the weather outlook and another...Unless, of course, a certain Israeli twit with a bent spoon intervenes...?:oldgood:

Tonight's Ecm 12z ensemble mean shows our weather becoming much milder next week following the cooler blip.
