Nothing much here 40 mph gust. Some very black clouds passed to the south east of us which should given someone a heavy shower

Just been to Clevedon seafront and was certainly windy and choppy enough there in time for high tide. Not as much as when it's a straight westerly, or even better a WSWerly but still windy. Max gust of 42mph so far here. I never register really high gusts when the wind is SWerly.

I see 76 mph recorded in South Wales. Wonder if anything will top that speed this evening?

Storm force winds in mumbles at 56mph quite a notorious place for exposure and capel curig which is very high up in a sweeping type valley, drove nearby there last summer.

Wind sounds louder here now, peak time about 9pm here.gale force now.

Has anyone seen the secondary low forming off Freya. Looks a lot more potent and could be moving on a slightly sw/ne path which would In Term effect the whole south coast. If what’s showing ups true things could get rather bad. Have the models been predicting this secondary feature or has it just came out of no where?

Gusts only around 40mph at the moment for my location and much of the Midlands. Obviously expecting this to increase but nothing exceptional.

The wave was to bring the south coast showery rain tonight, not sure if it is stronger than thought or not though.

The wind has been going up and down since around 4pm, getting a few more stronger gusts happening now, downside to this wind is that the cat refuses to go outside for the toilet and instead is marching around the house meowing - I really need to toilet train her.

Anyway, back onto the topic of the weather, I did a timelapse from todays satellite imagery:

Blowing a gale at shobdon.

Winds died down quite a bit here,I had to go out for something.

September`s storm was far more damaging here with trees in full leaf.

More like it 49 mph.

LOL Met office forecast gone to gusts in the range 40 to 45mph while netweather has gone to 58 mph.

Got a max gust of 52.4mph up a nearby hill earlier with one of my handheld anemometers so must have been just 30-40mph lower down where our house is.

Dropped down quite a bit recently so unless it picks up again the worst seems to have been between 3:00PM and 6:00PM.

45mph was my top gust. I wasn't in the warning zone, but it was pretty much bang on re Met Office forecasts. The only thing lacking was the rain, but there is more heading in.

just had what seemed like a downburst at my location, the rain outside was like someone having a house size fire hose and spraying it at my house
