A mild misty start to the day. Cooler than of late

Visibility at dawn <100 yards. Fog lifting to low cloud and mist by observation.

The Maximum temperature of 16.2c yesterday afternoon was the highest for February, locally since 2012 (17.7c) Mainly clear overnight. noticed patches of ground frost while out running early this morning, though just missing ground frost here. Hazy sunshine so far this morning. Further hazy sunny spells through the morning. The afternoon saw the high cloud clear away allowing bright sunshine through the afternoon. Feeling very mild and spring like once more.

Fog soon rolled in after I first posted so a foggy spell and it's now sunny and warming rapidly.

Thick fog until 1100. The fog, and resulting low cloud as it lifted, then dispersed between 1100 and 1230 and the afternoon was mild and sunny.

Beautiful day here in Hertfordshire.

Top temperature was 16.3oC in the garden although many locations in the vicinity recorded 17oC or above!

Low of 5.8oC and a foggy start clearing to bright blue skies.
