A spell of rain yesterday evening was followed by intermittent light rain and drizzle which eventually cleared around 0100, along with the thick fog which had persisted since 1300 yesterday. The cloud cleared during the early hours and there was a ground frost by morning.

The rain stopped around midnight. Clear spells developing through the early hours, ground frost forming. At observation, ground frost, bright, high cloud increasing.

 

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday 8.2c.

Minimum temperature overnight 0.7c

24-hour minimum 8.2c

Minimum temperature on grass -1.8c.

Maximum wind gust: (Midnight to Midnight) 15.0 mph W

Quite a nice day overall, one or two rain showers coming through but nothing major. Excellent rainbow at about 1500. Variable cloud but notable increase in Cs later in the day ahead of tonight’s LP. Currently 4.8C and cloudy.
