I guess a few spots of rain in the afternoon counts as a thundery shower.

There have been some around but to the north and south of us with us mainly in the corridor of sunny spells.  Perhaps Friday will deliver something.

Had a decent thunderstorm here, lasted a good 15 mins.
Lightening took the TV and Internet signal off for a while.
Hammered down with rain.
Good growing weather at last.

Looks great and the energy concentrates right in the center of Yorkshire up to 9pm!

I checked the forecast last night and it showed clear skies from 1pm. Just checked updated forecast and satellite and it appears the cloud is going to be more stubborn than originally thought.

and they're still not having it. We shall see. Normally they are right only this year they have messed up. We get a storm or a few thundery showers it's probably matched the last 15 years here.

Well the Met Office is half having it for our area. The normal conflicting forecast of none thundery showers and a warning for Thunderstorms at the same time. They haven't quite grasped the method of clear communications yet.

GFS has been consistent every day for Friday for yorkshire and Lincs to be in the sweet spot

What's the storm potential looking like for these areas? It's hard to find details in other threads

This will help!

Surface storms brewing after 1pm then 3-6pm spread through Yorkshire
