Not much left at Buxton looking at the cam. I think they need to remove the weather warning for this area.

Looking at the Cat and fiddle they maybe due to get a shower every time I looked this afternoon it's been dry with a steady thaw.

Don't believe it. Had a beefy lookign shower heading this way and it's path suddenly shifted from west north west to west and will now miss us. Snowing on the Buxton cam and Cat and fiddle.

Buxton and Cat and fiddle now have a covering once gain.

No thunder but tons of soft hail here white over once more. This brought the temps down from 2.6C to 1.3C.

Not often you can hear hail on the roof and a steady swishing sound from the ivy covered trees.

I thought I'd seen lightning and heard a rumble of thunder earlier, been white over here several times and we have a covering now.

Covering in Shirecliffe, Sheffield, slushy on the grass and car. Missed seeing the heavy stuff falling...damn it but seems like there are plenty of showers out there.

Storm Gareth not really packing a punch apart from one gust over 50 everything in the 40's so not a storm here. Correction just had another over 50.

I've managed to scrape a 25mph gust lol!

Just shows how protected low ground is, most of Rotherham probably only saw those values.

Must admit it feels and sounds stronger then 25 when your out in it....

Bloomin windy today. First storm of 2019 I think where it stayed windy most of the day and only has just died down in the last hour. Max gust 57 mph and plenty of gusts across the day into the 50's. Sadly it's unnamed but has blown the likes of the last two so called name storms into the wind if you forgive the pun.

Well we've had our flood warnings and the sirens down the Valley have sounded. The railway is shut at walsden as is the road to Tod at Callis Bridge.

We expect to go beyond 'property flooding at around 5:45!

That low had better get a move on a shift these sw winds to west or NW to push the rest of this rain south of us!

Seems to be Flood Warnings all down the Calder valley. Put it in perspective though e.g. Hebden Bridge is forecast to go above 2.2m, Boxing Day 2015 it went to 3.63m. Its a flood but a minor one thankfully, so the centers should be spared.

Hi Cowdog!

The 'forecast' levels , from the E.A. , go up and down with each update ( as the river height fluctuates?)

Our 'properties at risk from flooding levels are 3.82. Currently the peak is forecast at 3.82 at 6 pm........
