Yes it was a good day yesterday, felt like mid winter at least. Very cold and the trees and ground looked great in the thick frost and fog. Best winter's day this season!

Shame that shower missed you but yes there's a chance of more coming in overnight, keep watching ❄️

I have been watching for seems like an eternity or since Nov lol

these winters seem to be getting later

might snow on my birthday(14th june)

it has before.

edit:those clusters of showers to our NE seem to be getting there act together.

Are the showers expected to get heavy tonight?

Later in the night/tomorrow morning poss into lunchtime/early afternoon

but best look at the radar as showers will be hit and miss

it's certainly the latter here:nonono:

goes and crawls under the duvet.

Yep and as a result we're finally getting a few showers here. Just had a heavy snow shower leaving a light covering.

Morning all .. could I have heard thunder at 2.20am .. was that possible ?
Anyway, woke to a bit better covering of snow this morning and I've been enjoying a few more

showers.  Still less than a cm tho' as I type.

Morning, it is all white here, we only had 1/4" snow fall overnight but the village looks very wintery and still some light flakes coming down now. Temp is now +0.5c and patches of blue sky appearing so it may not last long but a lovely scene to wake up to

So are we thinking winter is now over? seems the mad thread are on intent on finding the warm!

I've given up with the mad thread for now, it even got into an argument over earthquakes and volcanoes last night! barely any model talk in there.

Would have thought anybody under this band moving south should get decent snow (it certainly delivered for us), it is nearly at Lincoln now but that leading edge was over us (the little red circle north of Brigg) at 7am. It has delivered 3/4" now. Looks like we are near the end of it now, a big gap until the next potential band hits.

They should be mostly snow but won't lay once it warms up unless they're heavy enough.

As people have said last march we had alot of snow! so I suppose saying winter is over now is abit premature! we just have to admit our winters are later and later feb/march  anything before that is a bonus

Watching the showers North / North East coming in dying is hard work

I'm following the ones from the Middlesbrough / Thirsk / York line and they just run out of ppn
