All surfaces lightly covered here. Looks lovely, been a fantastic winters day today, the frost, fog and now a dusting

Had a light shower of graupel here so far - seems to be the best we can manage these days. Got the faintest of coverings out of it though

I stand corrected. Proper heavy snow shower just now. Time for bed (maybe)!

Hmm I seem to be missing the band of showers just to the north, I feel I need to see something today or run the real risk of a snow less winter! Apparently it snowed on the 18th while I was away on holiday but that's been it so far this winter! It does look promising for many of us to see something through the day today so fingers crossed

Nothing here of course but that's fairly typical for this winter.

A good cm or two here in NW Leeds. Looks like we missed the slightly heavier stuff to the North. Radar clear now.

Yeah Im hoping the big ones maintain intensity and head a little further south. With the wind changing to more of a northerly direction this is possible.

Doing quite well here in East Morton.  Been up since 5am and it's pretty much been snowing constantly. Perhaps 1 cm. Very small flakes but I'm excited!

Looks like another shower streamer setting up further South now.  Might be South Yorkshire that benefits more than West mind?

As you say though winds are due to swing round more to the N later so hopefully many inland areas will get a shot at a covering.  Meto wording certainly looks promising for inland areas for the next 24 hours or so....

Nearly a cm at strensall N of York but less as I drove west. A covering at Linton. What a lovely day yesterday though. Absolutely beautiful.

Hmm further south of yorkshire the showers seem to be dying out as they hit inland, hopefully this changes for you soon.

Not that bothered today actually as I'm working in Leeds!

I am actually hoping though that once the front to our South pulls away so will the cloud shield allowing the showers in the North Sea to beef up a bit a push inland.  We just don't want the wind to change too straight Northerly when that happens though as that will ruin inland parts of S and W Yorks chances.

We will have to see how the day pans out.....

Morning all, looked out at 7.20am to a nice snow shower, made the merest dusting all over.
Temps around zero to 1 ° C.
Looking like I might get a few more light showers thru the day and tonight.
just given m'garden birds a good feed of suet pellets and seed.
