Recommended Posts

Decent amount of shower activity setting up in the North Sea, which could help us once the low inevitably clears to our south

The development of that extra small low will only serve to hold the precipitation further south.

Aye, it will pull it more South,

Anyways, I don't think any of our region will get anything decent today, which is a shame, but onwards and upwards.

Had it in up to Blackpool in a couple of runs but think it back to well south of the Cheshire gap eventually. Birmingham on it's last runs. Going to be a painful day watching another round of areas get 10-15cm of snow.

Shame about today but at least I've had snow settle at least once this winter, something that hasn't happened in 3 of the last 5 winters.

Precipitation we’ll into NI now and also reaching Anglesey.

We might get some icing sugar out of this yet.

As much as i'd love it. Not a chance. It will split up and go back over Ireland.

  • Heat building - But not before a northwestern soaking

The weather has thrown up two things to focus on during the coming hours and days. First the rain across the north and especially northwest of the UK, with some heavy, persistent downpours today in western Scotland in particular. Second, the build of heat later this week from the south, with temperatures forecast to rise into the mid-thirties, for some at least, by Friday. Read the full update here

Faltering start but heatwave likely to end this week

A mixed start with rain and blustery winds midweek away from the SE. However, heat will return as temperatures climb into the 30sC from Thursday onwards. Read the full update here
