Back to the partly cloudy, breezy and cooler westerlies today. Currently 14°C with 57% humidity if my weather sensor is correct. 14°C is 57°F btw.

April showers out of nowhere today, forecast said dry all day. At least things dry up quickly after the rain compared to the middle of winter now that the sun is stronger.

Glad of these showers tbh. Despite the rain of last month it has dried up very quickly and we are into fire risk season.

Strange. Stayed dry all day here. Been very sunny too, especially this afternoon, not a cloud in the sky now. The wind is getting up though, and it feels a bit chilly in the breeze. Currently 13°C.

Lovely weather here today being 15'c and not much wind around, i'm lucky enough to have the hill behind the house to escape to for a hour but I still yearn to be out further into the Peak District again. But considering I could be living in a city with no views or garden I can't complain.

Reached 17°C here yesterday with barely a cloud all day. Today is supposed to be similar temps but there's a bit more cloud about today.

We could well end up with an April like 2007 or 2011. I just hope we don't get a poor summer because of it.

Reached 18°C today here with barely a cloud during the afternoon. A very pleasant day. ? Sun is starting to set behind Pendle hill now as well. A smoky BBQ smell in the air. Currently 16°C with 55% humidity.

Don't know if it's just a feeling, but it does seem lately we are benefiting from the same type of weather for longer periods of time. i.e. February complete washout, most parts of the North West experiencing twice their expected monthly amounts of rainfall... now for ever since the lock-down on 23.03 it's been mostly settled and very dry... with no sign of any appreciable rain for the foreseeable.  Enjoy the 'Easter' weather best you can folks...it's a very strange, unusual way of living at the moment.

Surprised no one has mentioned the lightning around Ramsbottom about 40 minutes ago.

I could see it from my house in Hadfield.

Saw/heard this up in Bacup but nothing afterwards.

Went outside afterwards waiting for round two, amazing how mild it felt.

In the middle of the night I've encountered thunder and lightning when I'm sleeping. I didn't bothered to see it because I was tired after a busy day in the garden.

Clouds starting to thicken & turn a slightly dirtier shade of grey after the cotton white clouds & sunny spells of recent days....tstorms potential will be very limited though & we are not in the yellow warning area which covers places to the south I.e. Derbyshire/Midlands.  Cold shock to the system tomorrow...temps down by half of what they have been
