The ppn was no where near as heavy as the radar suggested. All we got was light/moderate rain.

Bodes well for the rest of the region. Except here of course. That boat has well sailed. Still heavy rain.

Unless this miraculously turns to snow before it clears or we get a rogue snow shower before 23:59:59, winter 2020 will have been completely shoeless here.

Blizzard conditions here for the last half hour or so but pretty wet stuff and struggling to stick.

on the tops I’d imagine it’s a different matter though.

Settling snow level must be near 300m. Very heavy sleet here and howling wind.

Sticking here now, a cm or two at most but still coming down hard.

is it to much to ask for a hard frost after it stops so I can manage a bit of winter walking in winter conditions even though it’s spring tomorrow.

Good for the sole

Tell you one thing though.. I just went out expecting it to be freezing cold but actually even in the strong wind it feels quite mild. Not sure this was forecast... Its just shy of 10C on the sensor, when it was meant to be 3 to 4C at this point. I think we may have a classic Foehn happening
