Pethaps it might not be a bad thing if things dry out for a few hours to dry the ground out at least.

Not much chance of that, looking at the radar there's blue and green shadows popping up continuously.  How l long to be underneath a big pink blob.

Well to be positive at least some of us are now seeing falling snow actually inside of winter haha. Didn’t think it would happen this year

Looking at radar the trough over NI looks to be heading this way for 4-5am....where showers transpire is anyone’s guess... might be white tomorrow....might not.... my bet is the hills above glossop will be...

Don't worry, you didn't miss much - it was crap - these little bits of slush just don't float my boat any more, i want a proper tonking and not getting one is doing my head in!

Heavy sleet, no chance of snow here tonight. Ok if you live 200M ASL maybe but very surprised the whole north west coast is in the warning zone.

Worth noting a few weeks ago it was mentioned that the showers then were forming almost over land - convectively, which was unusual for a night time. The same thing appears to be happening tonight.. Whereas the showers are forming over the sea, it's very close to the coastlines where they are forming, then they are developing as they hit land.

It is nice to have some heavy showers go overhead though because 9 times out of 10 they dodge here.

Soaking wet here, 20-30 years ago would be very different! We all need to live by Will on the hill these days in this setup.

Yay of all yays, its snowed imby.  Just enough to stomp about and leave slushy footprints.  It is melting fast though, theres about 1cm on car rooves a little bit more on the shed. Temp reading 1°.  There will just be wet pavements by the time I walk to work in 20 mins, but it's there, I've seen it, I've stomped in it before the cats did, I'm as happy as a snow leopard!
