This is garbage - i am more bothered about FI in the model thread - mid march onwards holds much more potential.

all of us getting exited of snow falling, yes it's nice to see but my sledge is growing cobwebs lol

the control run has been throwing some good eye candy of late, lets hope it's in control.

Just to point out. I met a bloke in Thailand from Sweden and he lives near Malmo. He says Malmo rarely snows on Xmas day to my surprise. I been thinking. Malmo/Gothenburg is located on the west coast of Sweden. I wonder Sweden's western coast has the same problem? Sea between Denmark and Sweden is basically another Irish Sea. While Norway just like Scotland to the north-west/north blocks any precip from north-westerly airflow to west coast of Sweden where Malmo/Gothenburg is.  I guess the North-West is not alone in this.

My brother lives the other side of that sea south and west of Copenhagen in Denmark....they’ve had no snow this year which is highly unusual.... they’ve usually had snow on the ground for at least a couple of week...plus hardly any frosty mornings....

just to add we have a cm of slush...fun times...

Yes southern Sweden & Denmark aren't all that cold at all. I've noticed they rarely get sub zero max temps. Most of Denmark is at sea level as well. Think the highest place in the whole country is something like 160m. In terms of Sweden once you get north of Stockholm the Winters are a lot more severe/long lasting.

1-2cm slush lovely.....big flakes coming down but too wet....snake and woodhead taking a pasting....plus accident affecting both sides of m60 at Denton island... don’t think it’s snow related....

Actually saw snow fall imby just after 8pm this evening, its only the second time this winter I've personally witnessed it fall, the last time was 14th December, any other time I've managed to glimpse a dusting on the hills before it melts. Its been sleeting, hailing, and raining on and off since.  Temp currently 1.5°. Got my bedroom curtains open so l can lamp post watch from my bed.
