Quite dissapointed to not see any snow from that shower, was thinking evaporative cooling was going to kick in.

what a lovely dry slot

someone keep any eye on NWS

Knew it - always happens you think when they hit to the North 'oh right, they will be with us soon' then they just miraculously disappear and re-appear to the south.

Reading the reports of snow in the Midlands thread, then seeing the reports of rain or sleet in this one, including in my neck of the woods...what is going on? Is it the Irish Sea? Dew points? Why are places in the Midlands getting snow yet places in the North West including those of reasonable elevation get rain or sleet?

The final slap in the face after a dire and wretched winter. Roll on Spring and some dry weather.

Good riddance winter 2019/20 - you won’t be missed.

Looks like the Midlands managed snow out of that trough once it missed us but it must be much colder down there right now as its only light rain here

This is the A53 Buxton-Leek Road 10 minutes ago, snow is beginning to settle on the higher routes in the Peaks and there's still more on the way.

still makes me laugh.

Why do you want to be warned about 1cm of snow?

The Midlands are getting snow because they're further away from any sea. This is a good setup for them with Cheshire gap streamers. Stoke could do very well tonight.

Heavy sleet now, tempted to go for a drive to a higher altitude.
