The weather warning doesn't start for nearly two hours yet so plenty of time for things to get going still. Precipitation doesn't seem to be a problem this time judging by the radar. Just need temps to keep dipping down. Latest Manchester Airport forecast holding steady with possibility of snow showers after 19:00, right through the night.

Had several heavy showers of sleet and hail here in South Cheshire from about 4pm. Current temp around 3c and feeling much colder out there. It will be interesting to see if we see any falling wet snow tonight really don’t think unless there is a band of very heavy showers any snow if we get any will stick on lower ground though. Thursday again is one to watch but not getting excited just yet

Showers now coming my way now. Has that unstable feel outside that I associate with a lively Irish sea. Still just under 5°C Though so my main interest is lightning for the next few hours.
