I've just about given up but for those still interested Man Airport Taf indicating the showers will become more heavy and frequent this evening and overnight.

In the shelter out of the wind it doesn't feel *that* cold. Currently 6C and sunny pretty much most of the day

Not very successful so far. A few short heavy graupel/sleety showers which had left a little dusting here and there but not seen anything in the way of proper snow yet. Still the hills are white which is one of the few times I’ve seen that this winter!

Footage shows the storm sweeping in from the Black Sea and hitting the town of Hopa.

I had something similar earlier although it was more hail than snow.

Just been down to Crosby beach. It was crazy. Spray blowing 300 yards inland, car park closed and flooded. Went to the seawall for a few seconds for the experience and got soaked. Not seen it that bad for awhile. The water  felt quite warm.

Maybe the airport TAF is correct met office have just extended the snow warning until tomorrow lunchtime was due to expire earlier.

Had a real mix of snow, ice pellets/hail but no proper covering. As I look east the tops of the hills have a slight cover. Probably last chance saloon tonight?

Heavy hail shower again in the city centre. Much more powdery this time and settled on pavements for a time.

At lunchtime the showers were more watery.

Had a sleet and hail shower this morning. But it’s been dry since I last posted last night. Dreadful.

Showers have been too light and not prolonged enough to allow any settling, the ground is sodden as well so unless there is a beefy long spell of snow, I doubt I'll see a covering here.  No much different on the tops of the M62 so even high ground not offering much.  The debacle that is winter 2019/20 continues.

I think it'll be too marginal again tonight. Air temps look like being just a bit too high for any settling snow below about 300m. Could be wrong but it's just not going to be cold enough.
