4.2°C under these showers. Don’t think I’m getting any snow tonight lol!

Approaching squeeky bum time this Winter with time slowly running out. Never thought I'd say this just 6 years down the line but this Winter is up there with 2013-14 so far round here. Still a few weeks left to surpass that awful statistic of just 1 brief partial snow cover. And if we get a colder than normal March that will suit me just fine. Snow is snow whenever it comes. March can more than deliver. And anyway light levels in March are still not long enough to sit out late into the evening enjoying a few pints with company. The warmth can come in April.

Strong gusts and hail woke me at 3.25am, lay awake for a little while anticipating a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder, but didn't hear anything.  Wind and rain at the moment.  Looks like I'm in for a very windy few days in llandudno at the weekend.

Interesting weather last night around these parts, thundersnow in Buxton which I heard one rumble of here along with a Bolide falling into the Irish Sea (video of it on the BBC) and now the MEN reporting "Blue Rain" falling in Stockport.

Snow with an air temp of +3? Looks a bit optimistic to me. Will probably just be cold rain as usual.

Just fish and chips for me in Llandudno, giving the mushy peas a miss. A house brick in each pocket too for the walk on the Orme.

For the first time this Winter I have a genuine interest in some genuine wintry weather! Yes the usual caveats of living by the coast but hay ho it's something. Fun & games further inland I suspect...

Looks very likely it is going to be very stormy!! Looking forward to it after all the inaction of this Winter so far.

At this moment in time it is looking extremely snowy over high ground early next week. The likes of snake pass could be absolutely buried. Potentially serious conditions over these trans Pennine routes. Heavy snow plus gales would bring large drifts.
