Annnnnnnnnd, the irish sea kills any  snow hopes yet again, snow in NI and snow in west yorkshire.

I wasn't expecting anything here anyway , perhaps higher up got a dusting.

Slushy snow light dusting....grass and cars covered....hills all white bit more seasonal...

Same here.

The hills around the Mottram cutting to Stalyvegas are nice and white.

Getting dark to the West now and the hills are disappearing.

A bit of snow here on the ground in the High Peak with the main problem area's this morning being the usual Buxton, Woodhead, Snake Pass areas. Not that i'm complaining as it's been a year since we last had snow down to these levels and the sunrise this morning was well-worth getting up early for. For now unless this trough brings any additional totals to what's fallen already, the ice is causing the most issues on the roads.

It's actually snowing with a short burst of chunky flakes

Morning. Remnants of snow on shed rooves and cars, a bit in a plant pot outside the back door, had a poke in it, it was more like hail. Looking further afield, the hills have had a decent dusting.  Viewed the Cat and Fiddle web cam, the road is passable with care, however in the last half hour there has been reports of a lorry stuck 'just passed the cat and fiddle'. At this very moment it is SNOWING. Yay.  Keep.safe lots of ice about.

Interesting on the weather report ([BBC) we may be in for hail and thunder at some point today. Exciting stuff.

I'm not expecting any snow here today, only the usual 'hill snow' event. The conditions for it is not good enough.

Only seen rain so far.

That's more like it.

Edit, this is quit a long shower, could be getting quit tricky on the higher routes.

Had a half hour burst of heavy, none settling, wet snow. The type with the massive flakes. Suns coming out now so presuming that's winter for this year.

Coming down like goose feathers and settling.
