Yep proper storm here, constant lightning although only a few forks most was in cloud, wind picked up very quickly and we even had hail too, if only it was later in the evening it would have been quite the light show

A shame the iPhone app temperatures are always about 2C higher than in reality!

I can't see anything happening here now. Last chance is probably that line of showers moving up through West Mids/East Wales if they can spark into life. Updated Manchester Airport forecast now removed storm possibility for this evening so not hopeful right now.

Can't see us getting any proper thunderstorms now tonight. Looking forward to the cooler weather tomorrow. Can't stop sweating.

When I see that cell on the SE coast and compare it to what we had earlier it's just depressing, especially when what we had earlier turned into a supposed supercell

Had a good view of that from the M56 around Runcorn junction when driving home earlier, looked amazing.

Had about eight.flashes of lightning, ones not obscured by roof tops were cloud to cloud, reasonable rumbles of thunder, set a few dogs off barking. Slight peppering of rain its now distantly rumbling northbound towards Manchester. Keeping an eye on the small cell south of Congleton, appears to be on   a northbound route.

Lightning not as frequent as Tuesday night, but thunder more impressive with some deep booms.

Yes had big booms of thunder here. Looks like another cell near Stoke moving north - whether it gets more intense is another matter but it'll be a good 45 mins yet if it arrives up to our region.

Storm has moved away now with occasional distant flashes, but a reasonably decent one. Shows the atmosphere is still primed. Not really been able to sleep as it is so stifling even with all the windows wide open.
