Driving Glossop to Hadfield, temp fluctuating between 29°C & 30°C.

Our back garden is much hotter than that out of the sun.

30% chance is the opposite of promising lol

Probability for TAF's is a little confusing

As far as I understand a Prob30 = Likely to happen in the vicinity but unlikely at that specific airport, while Prob40 = Likely to happen at that specific airport

In Borrowdale, Lake District for an overnighter atm. Sunny intervals, really warm and muggy right now. Some clouds just starting to descend below summit of Skiddaw as cold front approaches. Hopeful for storm chances this evening.

Full cloud cover now in South Cheshire with a few spots of rain feeling very muggy and uncomfortable

Well that warm spell went out with a whimper, nothing forecast though but felt so hot and humid early afternoon clinging on to a bit of hope

No thunder and lightning yesterday evening where I was staying in The Lakes, but some heavy convective showers early to mid evening time. There looked to be decent potential earlier in the day, but we were just to far South of the main action in the end. Looks like it could be a while until the next chance of storms. However, some decent weather from Tuesday onwards and thankfully not too hot.

Our 10-day run of unremarkable weather continues. And this morning the thunderstorm warning for these parts has been shifted east, so nothing tomorrow either.

Looking like a borefest for the foreseeable too. Can't even get a decent thunderstorm these days. I thought with "climate change" we were supposed to get more extreme weather?

No, I think Manchester is the only place in the world getting less extreme weather as a result of global heating.

Drizzling now.

Despite my earlier gloomy pronouncements, we've had a few brief but sharp showers here today, and I now hear thunder.

Yes I think the weather god's are being nice - a thunderstorm in progress here, can hear deep rumbles & the rain has just started lashing down.
