A bright start to the day in contrast to yesterday's gloom fest. The fells have a white cover, not sure snowline looks about 400 metres. An air frost expected tonight.

 23 mm of rain here yesterday. Some showers overnight but nothing interesting. Wind remains W/NW tonight so can see a Frost only east of the M6.

Had some puppy proofing to do in the garden this weekend so after giving yesterday’s monsoon a miss, today’s cold sleety showery weather was at least usable if not particularly comfortable to be working outside in.

This is my Winter outcome: 3/10. Rubbish.

Looking forward to the warm and sunny days in the Spring/Summer.

Hopefully next Winter won't be as bad as last one but its probably be the case but you never know!

just had a very potent hail shower.  Garden and roofs totally covered white.

What a disappointing day. A couple of days ago, it looked like it was going to be a reasonable day but it got downgraded as we got closer.
