Another very wet day on the cards here tomorrow if the forecast is to be believed.

Echoing thoughts above - a miserable wet Saturday morning, incessant rain and strong winds. Only plus point it is preety mild, had the low tracked about 150 miles further south, then a cold wet sleety mess would be falling from the sky.

Tomorrow hopefully will bring some welcome brighter sunnier skies inbetween the sharp downpours. March so far has been very wet and not especially sunny. Next week does though promise much more drier and sunnier weather and it should feel very pleasant under much lighter winds.

Not a fan of March at all, one of my least favourite months, roll on April and the clocks going forward.

There's still quite a bit of heavy rain to come for the rest of today so those river levels will only get higher...hope serious flooding is avoided.  That said it's definitely a drying out week next week and we sure do need it after the past two weeks.

Flooding in Colne and Earby supposedly. Nothing like the Boxing day floods, but then again that was akin to the sea being literally dumped on to our part of the Pennines and unlikely to be repeated any time soon.

Spare seat for the match?  Only joking. Wife's going out with friends to Harvey Leonards and my 12 year old is recovering after conceding at both ends.

22 mm of rain today which is the wettest day here this winter by a long way.

Maybe a lightning chance tonight and tomorrow otherwise nothing much else to be said.

Squall-line developing over the past half hour along the northern-part of the front, just crossed overhead here bringing with it some torrential rain and gusty winds.

A situation is developing. Plenty of water to find its way down.

There was flooding on the Manchester Leeds line at Walsden near Todmorden early this afternoon so that may be a lot to do with it.

conditions around these parts are nowhere near as bad as Boxing Day 2015 but it’s been a wet day and river levels haven’t been much higher since.

at least that looks like the last of the monsoon though with a drying trend from tomorrow onwards.
