Wind beginning to pick up now. It's only going to get stronger as the evening wears on. Probably twigs and branches snapped off by tomorrow. Maybe the odd fence panel blown out for some people.

Where are you  @Mokidugway

Might be work commitments, or the weather just doesn't float his boat. They way things are going, my boat will either float or get blown away.

Suddenly just got very windy here, pretty nasty gusts.

A noisy night with the gales rattling the roof-tiles here, although the worst of Gareth has passed there's still the occasional 50mph gale within the showers. 65mph was recorded in Buxton at 7:23am which matched the meto forecast.

Time to give up now on any notable snow or cold. Not been the worst Winter ever but it's still been poor. Hopefully next Winter will be better but global warming seems to be gaining the upper hand. You only have to see that more warm records are broken instead of cold ones.

You sure?

Another marginal chart. Better for ground above 250m-300m. Vast majority of us live below that in our region. Plus it's a GFS chart which go OTT about snow. Bin it.
