Last shower was mostly rain. It's washed away most of the hail.

Time to give up now on any notable snow or cold. Not been the worst Winter ever but it's still been poor. Hopefully next Winter will be better but global warming seems to be gaining the upper hand. You only have to see that more warm records are broken instead of cold ones.

Weather Warnings from Skipton to Keswick for the next 4 days - due the Heavy Rain that is due on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 60mm probable Tuesday, similar amount Thursday and then a top up on Friday.

If the forecasts come true there is likelihood of widespread flooding as everywhere is already completely sodden, so the water will just run straight off.

Oh dear I'm in the middle of four weather warnings next four days! Heavy rain tonight and into tomorrow morning, gales force winds tuesday evening and into wednesday, then another very wet period Thursday into Friday. The ground is sodden here, and it won't take much for widespread flooding.. we have been spared much flooding over winter season, but March is certainly making up for things - its turning into a notably wet one.

Southern fells look primed for orographic rainfall brought on by the SW wind.

A word on this morning - very wintry, snowline down to 150 metres.
