A light dusting of the white-stuff here this early morning with plenty of PPN building up towards west Wales that may bring further snowfall for later on, Snake Pass and Woodhead reporting the usual problems at this time due to the conditions.

Precipitation just isn’t heavy enough. Down to 2.7°C but just won’t drop any further. Oh well, throwing the towel in on this one now. Next up the possible convective action tonight to look forward to.

You want us to come and dig you out and bring you some bread and milk just to get you through this cold snap

Oh that bodes well - was thinking this might be a non-event. Radar says snow here right now, but we haven't event got any sleet. Its moderate stuff. I suspect the colder uppers are on the back edge of the front.. we await..

Power of evaporative cooling - you are under some heavy precipitation. Same as events last Sunday in NW Cumbria. The precipitation isn't heavy enough yet to bring temperatures conducive to snow here - rather annoyingly, but things can change very quickly..

Yes very similar. Back edge of the precip moving through now and we are now back to light rain. Looks like plenty of showers to follow.

Woke up to a very slight slushy covering on the grass but its heavy sleet/rain now, that extra 50M is serving you well Osca.

Keeps threatening to change to fully snow but mostly light sleet/snow flakes... hills above 400m covered and looking towards Hayfield/chunel.... maybe later on the showers will have more of a punch....
