Front has just arrived here and temp is already nosediving. Down from 9.1 to 7.6°C in 10 minutes.

 5.2°C now and it’s only drizzling! This is an incredible temp drop.

Been snowing here for about 30 minutes but turning sleety now, layed slightly on the grass

Unbelievable seeing places 5 miles north plastered in snow yet its absolutely peeing down here.

3c drizzle gusty squally wind....nothing out of the ordinary for March really... but temp was 11c this afternoon so quite a rapid drop over the last few hours....

Well what a journey along the A595 between Carlisle and Cockermouth last night!! This was already causing major problems before the yellow warning was issued!! These scenes were below 100m! Poor forecast & warnings for this yesterday, Cumbria Council and Highways were not prepared with no gritters/snow ploughs out. Many cars were stranded, thank goodness for winter tyres!

if the GFS 00z is anything to go by Winter has not gone away - a week off but could be some interesting weather in store next week.
