Greater Manchester going to be at risk, gonna be light by the time it reaches there thou

Yeah but if anywhere near as much activity forms behind it as that streamer heading into NE England at the minute, or even if the wind turns enough to the NE then anywhere from Manchester northwards could be in business.

Some sferics towards the NE and looking on radar above Hull, there's a nice track developing for showers to hit the Peak District

Nice new covering.

Keep it coming! Even I woke up to a light covering of snow.

According to the euro 4 there will be more snow showers between 12-6pm before the wind turns more northerly.

Why can't the Met Office extend the snow/ice warning to us? The showers are reaching us.

Maybe they just too worried about the south.

Nothing too intense has really reached us from the east, this is no worse than Tuesday night so far, plus our depths our nowhere near likely to be 18-20cm such as in the areas of the south west (the only place that's actually deserved a warning out of this). Track of showers seems to have changed as well might be a while before we get anything heavy.

Temps are about 0-1c, these showers expected later, will it stay cold enough?

Wow even Morecambe got the lightest of dusting of snow, slightly marginally more than we got the other morning.

Im actually up in the North East next week, shame it wasnt this week...

Not sure there is too much potential for Sunday, really need the low to be a shallow feature but higher ground could definately see some snowfall.

Looks to me like all the Showers are now going South of our region as the winds start to switch.

Once the wind has switched the showers further north should start streaming in though.

Light dusting on surfaces where snow had melted. Big question is will it be cold enough this afternoon if the showers make it.
