You won't see the Azores high for months now, it' did its damage during the winter and made all the forecasters who   said we would have a cold winter have egg on their faces.

I certainly hope so! That Azores high has ruined this winter, sick of it

They did forecast a cold winter but with the caveat that it could easily turn out to be very mild with little middle ground.

well that’s just covering all bases lol.

Heres my forecast for spring, chance of a colder spring than normal but also a chance spring could turn out to be very much milder than normal

It was milder this time last year if that's even a word to describe snow showers and a dusting at 7.3c max its definitely not,it was fresh.

Today chilly and wet 6.9c max.

Since that spectacular 2nd half of February the first week of March has been very wet here. Past examples which turned very wet after special weather include March 2012, April 2007. The question is will this be the start of a much wetter period as the other examples or will it be a blip? I have a feeling it’s not a blip and a run of months now may be all about the rain.

A rather bland period of weather here. After the fail February, March is turning out to be a really boring one this year: too warm for late snow but not warm enough to get an early taste of summer. Just a bunch of unsettled, autumnal 10-15C days with chilly but not frosty nights. Sunday might reach 19C but then it's right back to tedium again. Yawn.

When is this crud weather pattern we're stuck in going to end, really can't stand this constant wind and rain, bring back that gorgeous early spring warm weather we had before this current unsettled spell set in.

A shockingly wet day here,i don't have the rainfall figures but the Calder is not far off the record high levels seen on boxing day 2015,i did not think I would see this amount of water for many years to come.

Coldest day of the month here at 5.6c with frequent sometimes heavy snow showers all morning gave 3 slight coverings, not much different to this time last year except it was colder at 2c with soft and snow showers gave a slight covering, drifting later though.

It most certainly was and a third BFTE was predicted for Easter but this didn’t quite come off.

I gather York flooded in the usual areas by the river pubs earlier in the week and the Wharfe was very high and burst its banks at Tadcaster this weekend.  I saw the amateur pitches by the A64 with water within an inch or two of the crossbars when we were out yesterday. That's up near record highs, I think.

Been super wet and miserable here for most of the Winter.

I have no data to back this up, however I passed my driving test finally at the start of November, and since then, driving in dry conditions has been fairly rare - to the point it still feels like a bit of a novelty when it's dry/sunny.

After a touch of frost on rooftops at the weekend, we've switched to summer mode. Today saw a sunny 18.0C, after a 9.0C low, comfortably beating anything we had here in February's heatwave. I've seen someone with sunburn today.

I do hope that come April I will actually 'see' some interesting weather, some nice fat showers with hail and thunder would be nice, with of course sunshine in between.
