Big difference also is that this is late January not March, what comes out of the sky will not melt in a day or two, it will freeze and with more snow likely on top will make for very dangerous conditions. Sometimes I do wonder what on earth is wrong with us longing for such extreme weather that can cause such misery for many; the elderly, the disabled, motorists, and the economy of course, and even death if things were to really get bad in prolonged freezes.

Luckily for us this is just a model thread so we don't need to wonder about elderly, disabled, motorists and the economy as this is just a weather forum.

Now I lay me down to sleep,                         I pray the Lord the cold charts keep,        if they downgrade again before I wake,     I pray the Lord my soul to take.                 Cos I can't take this s**t anymore. Amen.

I'll believe snow is on its way when Liam Dutton suddenly stops posting daily tweets about 'excreting scaremongering and nonsensical weather stories'

Well praise the Lord.  My prayer must have worked.

The thing with the weather is that we can't change it - what will be will be.

Only hope the excellent output continues and doesn't get watered down or put back as we approach next week. Too many times that has occurred over the years.

I think the significance is were starting to get into territory on some of the latest runs where even if it is watered down it'll still be a good event.

If anything like that came off you could say good-bye to any chance tens of thousands of schools, and hundreds of thousands if not millions of business premises opening their doors. Shame it's the realm of fantasy.

That's next to Bacher Gasthof, Was staying there last year.

That's how I imagine when the ice age starts.

Yes Icon moves a nice leap to the ECM - about halfway-

What I have been earmarking on here & elsewhere is Tuesdays event, The models ( with the exception of ECM ) are continually weakening the signal for cold ahead of the front, thats both in terms of warmer 850s & heigher heights-

As we edge closer & the 850s/ Heights reduce so the leading edge becomes snow as well-

Tuesday is shaping up big for someone - West Midlands is my current focal point out to Wales -

S

It’s always those guys.
