That will do for me. thanks, im assuming that means we all get to have some fun in the Snaw then?

More likely for high pressure to dominate though for Scotland MS, most of the snaw looks set for further south to me.

Maybe if I call it snaw it won’t be jinxed lol.

tbh it would just be nice to wake up and see decent charts and upbeat chat on here as the last few days have been very depressing from a weather point of view

True, it's what normally happens, the South turns milder as fronts move north and Scotland gets a dumping. But the south did do well last time.

thought this reply was more appropriate for the banter thread due to no charts being posted

can we please have a love emoji added.... what a week that was, the wife was stranded in Leeds and i had 2 beer fridges full and a wine cooler.. log burner was run 24/7 and the open fires never went out and the central heating was on all day every day.. probably the best Snaw week of my life and what a great time we all had in the regional thread. more of this in the future is fine with me.

im watching "The Day After Tomorrow" survival skills for the coming months.. "4311 has just shown a temperature drop of 13 degrees"  i would love to see the reaction of some in the model thread to that really happening..

❤️

me when a chart like this was happening at t+0h tenor.gif?itemid=7320963 archives-2018-2-28-0-0.thumb.png.06ccf1805bcea317bf80817453175f24.png that was literally THE perfect setup for my area (and many others) with that straight easterly flow and that almighty cold pool archives-2018-2-28-0-1.thumb.png.692011489d8eaf5399c9b16cee8b89d8.png also the almost non stop thundersnow (seemed to be some with every snow band / shower) I am praying to each of these snow gods   https://www.theskidiva.com/choose-your-deity-the-gods-goddesses-of-snow-2/ not to speak to soon but we definitely seem to be moving in the colder direction ATM as I have said charts showing blocking increasing in frequency is the next thing to be watching.

Was a truly stunning week, every shower or period of Snaw seemed better than the one before, and yes the Snaw thunder was magical, if this upcoming spell come close but is longer then i think it will go down in weather history and in 20/30 years 2018/19 will be the bench mark of coming winters.

That sounds like heaven, it doesn't get much better than that.

It was also an unbelievable month here in the South West. I'd rate it higher than 2010 from a purely snow perspective. Good times.

oh it was it really was. ive never seen Snaw like it, it just kept coming in and coming in and every day it seemed to get heavier and heavier, ive never known it to Snaw for basically 4 days non stop.. im not gonna lie it was a real struggle to keep the fires burning etc as going out to my log store was bloody difficult even with thermals on. but would i like to do it all again? oh yes i would.
