Good to see you back @Hawesy  could be a competition between you, me and @ghoneym for who is least likely to see snow

Groundhog day again here dull, dark, damp 8.9 C

Could be me too. Beach huts tend not to see snow drifts.

Me too

I have lived at my current location for circa 18yrs and have experienced only two significant snowfalls, more commonly winter precipitation hereabouts is just an unimpressive sleet/wet snow event. Severe overnight cold and ice is more of a feature, but sunshine hours can be above average.

I don’t keep records, just my impression.

4 full days in a row without sun going great guns this week so far apparently it may brighten up tomorrow before the real sun comes back Thursday

As above another very dark damp day with just a tiny patch of blue sky about midday.      Mild though hoverring about 11c all day which it still is now. Roll on a bit of clear arctic air. Managing to plough some of our dryer fields.

Looking forward to a return to cold and sunny as it's been a miserable run of days here. Misty, mild, varying degrees of wet, including some fairly heavy stuff yesterday evening.

If I'd bothered taking a photo on my drive home from work yesterday it'd have looked something like the following, only wetter...

Morning all

The gloom is finally lifting here after four days of utter turdfest weather. (Rain, low cloud and zero visibility of any hills/mountains)

Once the fog clears it looks a lovely day - can finally see the tops of the hills peeking out!

Blue sky is now appearing and that should stay the same until Monday - looking forward to getting back out in the sunshine, frosts and clear air! Back to crud for a couple of days next week (midweek) and then cold again as per the latest ECM? (Looks snowy at the end for the higher hills/mountains) If it all works out like that of course!

Have a good day!

New word there from @Mr Frost - turdfest… not sure that would be very welcome.  Bad enough with this incessant rain (which means everything and everyone is slowly getting clarted with mud) but turdfest, well, the mind boggles. Unpleasant. Perhaps the rain's not so bad after all!

Some rather quieter weather to get through first. Cold and dry followed by mild and dry.

Didn"t think the weather could get worse today but it did with the  wind getting stronger and rain and drizzle coming in off the Firth in sheets. Branches are falling off trees.and the last of the leaves are all off. In spite of wearing waterproofs have had to change twice as any movement outside in the rain and wind soaks you through and through.Getting a bit cooler too at 8c.

Glenshees new Technoalpin snow factory is located close to the cairn well mountain cafe, if anyone is heading up.

Think that's 4 out of 5 Scottish ski centres with a factory on site.

Met forecast tweaks for my location tomorrow.

Rain...sleet....snow.

4-5 days of colder temperatures, mostly dry with a fair bit of sunshine

Temperatures back up to 8C on Tuesday, subject to change.

At this stage I think some sun would be the main priority for many! Pleased it’s looking decent for my move back to Fife on Saturday, clear skies and some sunshine, as forecast, would be ideal.

Down in Cardiff this evening, cloudy and 9c.
