Pishing down here but nothing exciting electrical wise - good stuff is passing to my East/North East.

We have 3 but it's quite possible one of them was at the loo, having a fuss somewhere or at the bottom of the harbour steps retrieving their bucket

Just been directly under those whites and purples on the radar, crazy intense rainfall, gutters overflowing yet again. _20190922_223546.thumb.JPG.c7782af3a15469764c485117bbd6aebb.JPG _20190922_223615.thumb.JPG.960dea415419e7b1ca9b7c5444065e9e.JPG

Just been woken up by the heat of the bedroom .Its currently 16.5c outside and the warmth of the air hits as you go out the door.. A lot of cows lying flat out  snoring in the field behind the house.    Going round them with a torch  its a  strange sight at this time of year.

I wondered about last night and the heat - When I got up at about 6:30 this morning my windows were steamed up with condensation which prety much never happens in this house. Don't know if it was the heat and humidity that caused it...

A question for all the experts on the Scottish thread. Is it possible to find archive charts for the rainfall radar ? The date I am looking for is the 6th of August when we had a very localised thunderstorm between 11.00pm and midnight on the south side of the Moray Firth.Picture of the River Dulnain  in full flood at Carrbridge on the following day  showing the old bridge made the national news

Roll on snow chase season now please

I agree with this! (November 1st for me)

It’s now that time of the year when there is not much going on weather wise. (It’s mild but grey/murky/misty with another wet evening/night ahead)

After such a great Summer of warm temperatures, sunshine, convection and thunderstorms I can’t really moan. (But I will anyway! )

Friday and Saturday last week were amazing with plenty of hot sunshine. (21c and 22c here - took a quick picture at lunchtime on Friday from the window as the fog was finally clearing...could see the moon - top left)

Outlook for the rest of this week is more grey/overcast/mist/rain/drizzle here so nothing to get excited about.

Personally over the next five weeks I am hoping for some sunny/dry mild days, snowfalls on top of the mountains for a nice Autumn Munro hike or crisp/clear sunny days with frost in the morning and night! No more drizzle/grey/overcast type weather hopefully as I seem to get that at least four days of the week currently.

Have a good week everyone!

The MOD is a funny old place... winter posters being welcomed back like they are god like figures, yet if you look back at the past 3 winters the said god like figures have been wrong each and every week despite the fantasy they paint... big words with different meaning do not make a winter....

Weather really has been abysmal here for days - yet another day/night of torrential downpours and same again for a couple of more days!

This sums it up! Shower clouds and rainbows! (Would be great if the showers arrived with thunder and lightning at least!)

Looking forward to next Monday through to Wednesday - daytime temperatures between 9c and 14c, chilly wind, sunshine and frosts for a few of us! The good kind of Autumn weather that I wish would stick around for a while!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Morning Peeplings! Been a wee bit damp overnight, currently 12.2c, cloud trying to clear. Looks like it might be a reasonable weekend up here!

It's been a pretty grim day hereabouts, grey, light to moderate rain on and off during the afternoon, temp 12C currently, which is all rather disappointing as there is quite a good aurora forecast for the weekend.

Still waves of swallows and martins passing through - the martins in the pic are of the sand variety and were among a mixed group of 20-25. They'd better get their skates on.
