All the showers seemed to have formed to the east again we been in a dry gap (other than that small shower a couple of hours ago) pretty warm actually but that not going to last

Downpour but no thunder.   Now just very light rain.

No point putting a warning for the whole of Scotland, just a big circle round Edinburgh and Fife!

It’s strange to see Scotland getting so many storms this summer and SE England not getting much. Hopefully they don’t steal our snow this winter as punishment

Torrential downpour in south side Glasgow just now. Really hefty shower - tropical stuff.

Most of these showers seem to be developing after Glasgow as they traverse overland. That seemed to be a rare early developing shower from the west.

Edit: Rumble of thunder heard there too. Rain has died down though.

Thunder rumbling about to our north. Sun is out here though.

That went on a good bit longer than the radar suggested it would. Looked again and the rainfall seems to be developing between Barrhead and here.

Still occasional rumbles of thunder.

I might be stupid but convinced i'm hearing a few very faint distant rumbles of thunder somewhere

Massive clap of thunder and almost simultaneous lightning overhead in Bothwell just now (south-eastern outskirts of Glasgow). Torrential rain and hail.

Apart from a few distant rumbles of thunder, I hadn’t seen any proper thundery activity in this area this summer until now, although there was some in the north-east when I was there a few weeks ago.

Dry here all day despite the occasional threatening cloud on the horizon. It even brightened up in the afternoon, but not enough to dry out the grass enough for me to cut it, but after yesterday's deluge that wasn't a surprise.

A very humid and rather warm day here but overcast and no signs of donner or blitzung. A few small spots of rain.

Plenty of raspberries out in the woods locally which added pleasure and time to the afternoon ramble but doesn't make up for the plague of wasps eating my plums.

Plenty of thunder and lots of flashes from the current storm over Edinburgh. Remains remarkably bone dry here.

Some impressive lightning bolts seen from upstairs out past the airport direction towards Dunfermline.
