Last one from me for a couple of days. (Quiet day weather wise tomorrow so a bit of sunbathing and relaxing without having to look at a radar! )

Had some more torrential downpours nearby just after 20:15.

Lovely day tomorrow and then it all kicks off again at the weekend/Monday!

A new month and the weather responded in kind.

Distinctly cooler day with a max of 19c, lowest for quite a few days which goes to show how good the weather has been the last couple of weeks.

Overcast all day with even some drizzly rain for a time in the morning.  Light winds throughout.

Bit of tidying up in the garden today and the soil is surprisingly dry so looks like its time to take the sprinkler back out again.

Off to Pitlochry for a walk about and some lunch with the family. much cooler over night last night and the heat has faded some what. weekend looks ok but after that it looks downhill all the way.

Same, I drove through that line of heavy showers too and didn't see anything. Made it to Kilmarnock where it was dry and then there was one sferic from the downpour I had just driven through so missed that as well. Ah well, let's hope Sunday delivers! Warning out already.

Calm day in comparison to the mayhem that some have had this week quite cloudy but warm still maybe anything tomorrow similar albeit with more sun maybe before we back to square one sunday

Pleasant enough day with max of 20.1C.

Skies have cleared now too.

Lovely day in Inversneckie with blue skies, max of 23c and light winds.  City hoachin' with visitors and the Belladrum festival has gotten off to a great start weatherwise.

Clear blue skies all the way back to Aberdeenshire and a lovely sunset to round of a cracking day.

Some shots looking West thru NNE from layby on A96 near Thomastown (just east of Huntly). 

We really are lucky in this country for scenery

Morning all!

Putting me in the mood for Autumn with those pictures @CatchMyDrift - lovely!

High of 23c yesterday - blue sky after lunchtime!

Lay about in the sun for a few hours then a wee local walk afterwards.

Another great sunset last night!

Another nice day ahead and a wee chance of thundery showers later!

Sunday looks good at the moment for thunderstorms - another day up on a hillside beckons!

Another decent week here this week. Only a few distant rumbles of thunder in the end. Still waiting for the full on flashbangwallop. Today looking decent again once the sun breaks through. Currently 15.5°C.

Had an hour before a family dinner so ran up the hill to see how the sky was looking.

Quick run back down but looks like some action will kick off shortly here - Metoffice have thunderstorm but I think it will just be torrential downpours!

I am in Largs doing a bit of fishing on the boat, just made it back and I can hear thunder in the distance

Another thunderstorm here though quite a bit smaller than the one a few days ago, very localised 3 bits of lightning and thunder with some torrential rain. no sign of lightning on radar though which is strange.

With the recent warm days, mild nights and the occasional splash of rain, the garden shrubs/plants (and weeds) are running amok. I quite like the effect, but not looking forward to autumn pruning.

A solitary Painted Lady butterfly today.

The sky looks very dark to the south though I haven't heard any thunder yet.
