Much cooler day with a max of 15c accompanied by a rather keen NW wind.

That wind making things feel chilly when working outside (fleece back on again as the sunshine was not in abundance round here).

Dry during the day but some showers of rain this evening.

Lovely sunny morning, blue skies (always first thing then it clouds over). Quite cool yet.

Bright and breezy here too with temps peaking at 18.8C. No showers so far made it through unlike the previous couple of days.

Lots of moans about June’s weather (rain) from down South but the Met O stats show that most of Scotland wasn’t that far off average. The main exception being around Edinburgh.

The lack of posts says it all.  Bland, mostly cloudy and not especially warm outlook here...

It was 20C with loads of sunshine here today. The outlook is dry for the next ten days here and temps look very solid with some warmer days in between the odd cloudier and cooler day. It's a whole different world down here.

Similar here with the max at 19.8C. Occasional bright intervals and a strong breeze out of shelter.  Did a trip on the rhib from Elie harbour this afternoon. Quite lumpy away from the shore.

Not great weather today  sporadic   rain, breezy and 13c certainly not haymaking weather. Looking on the radar there is strange gap in the rain just to the west of Inverness but rain seems to reform over us when you run the animation.

Unexpected frontal rain now cloudy. (Did I mis-hear/not pay attention to the forecast?)

Ah autumn in July, what's to like

Persistent rain for most of the day, though dry now.  Max of 14c and a fresh W wind.

Just back from a dull, windy and damp week up by Brora.  Variations in the weather limited to slight changes in strength (not much to some) and direction (north-west of just west), temp (range from 9C to 13C), rain (none to a bit)…. Oh and all but no sun.  We were camping so it was ok for that, ie not wet and enough wind mostly to keep the WFFs down and no early morning sun to force you out of the tent/oven. Ticks though, aargh.

Back to Fortrose a couple of hours ago and there's some pale sunshine and it was 17C.

Beer o'clock soon.

Cool cloudy day with a breeze from the north but dry with a high of 14c. Every plants on  a go slow again strawberries slow to ripen and grass  growth slowing up to. No hay made as yet. Imagine if we had had this many north winds over two months in winter.See its currently not much above freezing on the summit of Cairngorm. When I was a kid there were no live updates of these summit temperatures and I find it fascinating todays technology allows us to view them.On the subject of technology my wifes bank told her she will soon be ablesto scan in lower value cheques using an app on her phone.Another reason for less branches.
