The trophy is supposed to mean thanks but I think this deserves a trophy for endeavour. You've brought them up well.

Thank you sir! Makes me happy that they are happy being outside scraping up snow instead of inside ruining themselves with a screen

Spent a fine and a tiny bit chilly morning with youngest up at hillend ski centre early this morning! It was a gorgeous day for being out . Views were stunning today .

I'll apologise now to the snow starved contingent, but we hit the jackpot...

Off to clear the drive again and measure depths.

Edit : Depth on driveway, which was cleared so overnight fall, around 10 cm. Total as best I can tell as it varies, is around 20cm on average (8 inches)

Picture postcard stuff...lovely.

We ended up with just a dusting with just a few flakes overnight to cover the tyre marks.

By the looks of the forecast next week it wont be long till I need to take the lawnmower out the hut never mind the snaw shovel.

A glorious day and nowhere near as cold as it has been recently another cold night to come but maybe the last one for a wee while saying that the cloud scuppered a hard frost last night

Saw this piccy from the A839 yesterday. BBC Should  have sent some of their reporters up there to get a more dramatic snow story.

I think the 12Zs will be epic. I feel sorry for the models, expected to deliver the most mesmerising runs while everyone is being a grumpy git towards them. We should be inspiring them to be the best they can be. A wee bit of PMA goes a long way.

… or not :D

I'm going through all the charts and I am yet to find one that is even remotely cold. Every single one deepens those lows to our west and pushes the high pressure up across southern Europe = endless south-westerlies for us. And you can hardly call it normal, the temperatures predicted over the Mediterranean area are well above average, including most of eastern Europe too

Some great pics and nice to see some more substantial snow around the country than we had here.

The snow from Tuesday and Wednesday is still hanging on despite the Cooncil's best efforts. That's twice in the last two years we've had a gritter up here!

GFS para so close to utter glory at the end of the run but it ends up sending the beast into Europe.

We can dream...

I'd still give anything for those charts to materialize. Especially considering what all the other models are showing

No lying snow in this part of Glasgow. Back to thinking that last year used up our snow quota for this winter as well. Even tomorrow seems to be a bit of snow for a couple of hours followed up by an emphatic lashing of rain.

What melted has evaporated leaving a dry and very cold evening the temp has dropped like a stone from +2.5deg/C in the afternoon to -6.6deg/C now.

I'm not disliking the GFS 18 to be honest... The zonality is quite cold in the long run, especially for us. Plenty of snow opportunities there. Definitely a better run overall compared to GFS 12

Warning for tomorrow for some parts in the west. I am travelling to East Kilbride at 7am to goto work so it could be an interesting drive, who knows?
